THE BOAT
Mojo is a custom built 61 foot sportfisherman. It has an 18 foot beam and is built by Lightning Yachts. It is powered by twin 1000 hp Caterpillar Motors. We have a 16 kw gen set to power onboard 120 volt electric systems. Visit Lightning Yachts and take a virtual tour. The boat on the builders website is Our actual boat.
The boat has a cruise speed of 30 knots. If we need to make time during a tournament, we can cruide at 33 knots. Our top end is near 40 knots. The boat handles rough seas very well. It is an amazing ride.
THE COCKPIT
This is the real business end of our rig. We have a monster 225 square feet of cockpit deck on our boat. The cockpit deck is 15' x 15'. We have one 130 lb class fighting chair with an offset stanchion, used only for 130 lb gear. We also have 2 sailfish chairs with gimballs. All of our gear up to and including 80 lb is fished standup, so the sailfish chairs are usually used to hang out in and relax. One of the coolest features of our pit is built in aft facing mezzanine seat against the salon bulkhead. Just sit back and relax as you watch the baits and bites. We also have a 500 lb. ice bin and bait cooler next to the seat that is fed by an automatic icemaker.
THE BRIDGE
The flybridge is equipped with state of the art electronics including: a color video fishfinder, 72 mile radar, 3-D GPS bottom chart, backup GPS navigator, 2 VHF radios, longrange single side band radio, satellite phone system, real time satellite sea temp and weather, autopilot, and sea temperature gauge.
THE SALON
Our salon has room to seat 8 people with a wrap around couch and a large easy chair. We have 2 flat screen TV's hooked up to satellite TV and also a DVD player. We have a music system that has 14 speakers throughout the boat. The system has XM radio as well as a DVD player. Please feel free to bring your own music (all rap and hiphop will be thrown overboard).
THE GALLEY (Kitchen)
Our boat has a full kitchen including a Jenn-Air grill, a 2 burner cooktop. A convection oven and a microwave. We also have 2 under counter refrigerators for you to use for your perishables. We don't use all this stuff while we fish, except for the microwave and fridges. Bring any type of microwave food you wish.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT
The Mojo is completely outfitted with the latest safety equipment including: an automatically deployed 8 man life raft, full coastguard package, 16 life jackets (including child sizes), immersion suits, 6 fire extinguishers, EPIRB (emergency position including radio beacon), and an automatic fire suppression system in the engine room.
